Nieves Pérez is Co-founder and Director of BeRuby.com. Nieves has extensive experience in finance and quantitative analysis. For the nine years prior to founding BeRuby, Nieves worked for the Spanish multinational Telefonica, first as Project Manager, analysing investment opportunities in Latin America, and later in Mergers & Acquisitions, analysing and co-ordinating corporate buy-sell initiatives for the Telefonica Group. Nieves also worked in Mergers & Acquisitions at Bear Stearns in London, specializing in the telecommunications industry.

Nieves holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Universidad de La Laguna, and a Master's Degree in Banking & Finance from AFI (Analistas Financieros Internacionales).

Miguel Acosta is Co-founder and Director of BeRuby.com. Miguel has a proven track record in the Internet industry and in business development.  Prior to founding BeRuby, Miguel was Vice-President of European Business Development for Ask.com and Director of European Business Development at Yahoo. Before his incursion in the internet arena, Miguel was a Director at the investment firm GBS Finanzas.

Miguel has a Master’s Degree in Banking & Finance from Universidad de La Laguna and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).

Technical Team


Diego Rodríguez is a Technology Consultant at ASPGems, with full-time dedication to BeRuby.com. Diego specialises in analyzing and developing open code Web 2.0 projects. He is an expert in the Ruby on Rails development environment, upon which BeRuby.com was developed. Diego has deep experience in systems engineering and in managing technology projects for companies in different industries.

Diego holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Local Team


RaquelRaquel Galaviz is the Product Manager for the United Kingdom and the United States at BeRuby.com. She recently completed a Master of Business Administration at the Universidad de Carlos III de Madrid. Prior to joining BeRuby, she gained experience as a Project Manager and Planner for non-profit organizations. In addition, Raquel worked as an Intern with some of the premiere public relations firms in Texas, USA and in the Management area with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

 

Juan AntonioJuan Antonio is the Product Manager responsible for BeRuby Spain. He has more than 10 years of experience related to the Internet, as he has worked in programming, design and web administration. Before founding and designing MasterClick, he studied Architecture at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Currently, he is studying Computer Engineering at the Univerisad Carlos III de Madrid.

 


Íñigo Íñigo Fernández is the Product Manager responsible for BeRuby France, and lends a hand to the Spanish market as well. As a youth, he studied in Belgium. Later, Íñigo studied Law and Business Administration at the Universidad de Comillas in Madrid. He then, received a Master's degree, with a Special Mention, in Photography and Reporting from the Escuela EFTI. In addition, he has done training related to graphic technologies, including design. He is a web designer, technician and is trilingual in French, Spanish and English. Íñigo also has extensive artistic training in poetry, music and drawing. He is a Reiki teacher, and expert in energy therapies and personal development. Also, he has also taken on positions in Fundación Sauce, an organization dedicated to personal development.
Assunta Assunta Venezia is the Product Manager responsible for BeRuby Italy. Before joining the BeRuby team, she worked as Editor-in-Chief for a local radio station in Rome. She holds a degree in Information Science, with a specialization in Marketing and Communication from the Universidad La Sapienza in Rome. She has also completed training in Sales and Negotiation Techniques at the C.E.F. Madrid.

 

Andrea Andrea Bergshoef is the Product Manager for Germany and the Netherlands. She has done internships in the Marketing department at Philips Medical Systems in Hamburg, in the Support department at BrainLAB AG in Munich and in the Consulting department at Audio Consulting Group in Hamburg. She also worked as an Assistant to the Director responsible for the German banking sector at Ideon Financial Solutions in Madrid. Andrea has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Zeeland and Master's Degree in Marketing Communication, from the University of Twente.
Martha Raquel Barreto is the Product Manager for BeRuby Portugal and BeRuby Brazil. She recently completed an International MBA at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Earlier, she earned a degree in Applied Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma de Lisboa. Raquel has over seven years of experience in the telecommunications sector. She has served in management positions related to Finance Management, Sales, and Customer Service for Jazztel Portugal, and AR Telecom del groupo SGC Telecom.
